It was a very interesting and uplifting assembly. He shared his beliefs and talked about the importance of respecting one another, teachers and family members. Staff and children asked questions about Islam and discussed the difference between teachings in the Koran and cultural influences. Mrs Johnson shared details about her Christian faith and we compared the many similarities between the two. Imam Qazi Matin stated that “Humanity came first and religion came second.” We are united by our faith in humanity and our religious faith(s) offer rules and guidance to live a good life.
