Hello Year 2,

We can’t believe that it has been so long since we have seen you all! Hearing your lovely voices this week and last has made us all very happy. It was fantastic to hear what you had all been up to at home and it was wonderful to hear that you’ve been working hard and completing your home learning! Such super stars!

We are hoping that very soon we will have you back in the classroom learning and having fun with all your friends and teachers. This week Mrs Parr has been helping her daughter with her university learning and she has been enjoying the sunshine in her delightful garden. Have you enjoyed playing in the sunshine? What games did you play?

Mr Carr has been busy working on a new IT programme to help us with our computing learning when we are back at school. Do you enjoy learning about computers? Mr Carr has also been putting his building skills to use and he has built some outdoor furniture for his garden.

Mrs Azaim is still baking and this week she has made a chocolate cake with the help of her son. It sounds delicious doesn’t it? She has also been playing in the sunshine with her little boy and he has been painting lots of lovely pictures for her to put around her house.

Miss Helan has been busy helping people in her neighbourhood who haven’t been able to go to the shops or the chemist. She has also been enjoying lots of lovely long walks in the sunshine and listening to all the animals around her. Could you hear any birds when you were outside?

We hope you are all staying safe by washing your hands, remaining inside and helping the people in your households. Don’t forget to say please and thank you to those around you, who have been doing their best to help you play, learn and stay safe during this strange time.

This week we have a little competition for you all! We would like to see what you have been up to. Have you created anything, drawn anything or written anything special? We would love to see everything you have been getting up to so send us some pictures of your work and your activities to year2@dale.derby.sch.uk
